DICE aware of frequent Battlefield 4 crashes on PS4

DICE says it's working to address regular Battlefield 4 crashes on PS4, while also preparing updates for other versions of the game.

A Battlelog update posted today reads: "We are aware of the frequent crashes in Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 4. We are hard at work identifying these issues and are hoping to get a game update out early next week. Stay tuned for more details as we can confirm them, and thanks for your patience!"

An Xbox 360 game update is also "currently undergoing final testing" ahead of its planned release "soon", while a new PC game update in the works aims to fix "a number of remaining issues in the game".

Over the weekend, DICE said that a distributed denial of service attack was to blame for instances of PC players being unable to connect to the game's multiplayer component.

A notice on Battlelog's main page, which was spotted by Kotaku and has since been replaced by a PS4 server warning, read: "We are currently experiencing attacks on our infrastructure that is impacting online gameplay on BF4 PC. We are working on mitigating actions".

Hopefully, they fix all the problems, real fast, and real soon!

Being aware and taking action mean two different things.

Its not just PS4 its all platforms it freezes on my 360 so annoying seems to be a constant problem with EA as my fifa kept freezing and so did my friends

I have had this issue a couple of times. I believe only 3 times to be exact.

Not too irritating, I'm just glad it doesn't freeze like my Xbox 360 did.

Looking forward to an update!

DICE aren't the root cause. Indie devs like to stay indie devs because their vision is not blocked by the need to make money. Yes indie's need money to survive, but not at the cost of their creation. Send your anger to EA, who are the root cause of these launch issues.

The title of this article also made me feel like the PS4 is being used in a negative light. From what I gather its EA with the problem and not Sony!
