Killer Instinct Classic includes two arcade revisions

The DLC-bundled Ultra Edition of Microsoft's upcoming Killer Instinct reboot for the Xbox One will feature two versions of Rare's 1994 arcade Killer Instinct, Siliconera reports.

Producer Torin Retting revealed that Killer Instinct Classic will feature both the original arcade version (v1.4) and the upgraded ROM revision 1.5D, which fixes a number of glitches and infinite combos discovered after the game's initial release. The port will also feature CRT-emulating scanline options, a training mode, and sprite galleries.

Retting additionally notes that Killer Instinct Classic will only be included in Killer Instinct's Ultra Edition and boxed Pin Ultimate Edition, and will not be sold separately.

Just get the Ultra 64 Emulator for PC you can play the original Arcade roms of Ki and Ki2,map any controller,have scan lines etc.I've had it for years,it's pretty cool.It's not the "N64" version btw it's the real Arcade versions..

I was expecting Killer Instinct 1 and 2 both arcade versions of course, I wouldn't want KI Gold, that version was stripped of the knock off scenes due to lack of space on the cartridge.

Yeah, it's a free game but you'll only get one character, but if you choose to pay for the game (ultimate/ultra edition) then you get them all.


I thought those free games were called trial games. They are basically allowing you to play online with trial status with one character, not bad.
