Xbox One shipped early to two customers one gets banned by MS

4.6
Xbox One is already in the hands of two people, thanks to Target shipping the console out early – and one user has already had the console banned by Microsoft for hooking the machine up early.

One of the Target customers, via Engadget, posted the console on eBay stating the proceeds from the sale would go to “my corporation to create products for Special Ed students.”

The bidding got as high as $10,000 before the listing was taken down. A reason was not provided, but it’s possible Microsoft forced the issue.

On Twitter, the other Target customer, Moonlightswami, linked to a YouTube video he posted, showing his Xbox One being unboxed. It was soon taken down by YouTube due to a copyright claim from Microsoft.

Said user stated the Day One patch for Xbox One was around 500MB and said some of the games already available to download from the Xbox Games Store such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, use up anywhere from 43GB to 31GB and some donwload only titles such as Lococycle take up 13GB of hard drive space.

We’ll have to take his word for this information, because there is no way it can be confirmed at this time. He also said Kinect works rather well, so that is a plus.

While Moonlightswami attained his Xbox One through legitimate means, Microsoft has since banned his console.

Microsoft has not issued comment on either occurrence.

Its stupid that he got banned. He got his Xbox legit...what a waste of $500.

NDSU Dang 10,000$ for a pre-release Version. That's insane what people will pay for stuff.

Some people are just really impatient when it comes to things such as this.

Gotta_Have_It Kind of is his fault for turning it on early, its pretty obvious you're going to get in trouble.

It's not solely his fault. Target shouldn't of shipped it to him nearly two weeks before release.

Basically all his fault. Target didn't turn on his xbox

Just. Stop. It is not his fault. Nowhere did they say "if by chance you get one early from legit means you can't turn it on or you're banned instantly." It is more targets fault than his, and microsofts too. They should've handled this in a calm manner instead of instantly banning them without them knowing that they couldn't get on. What all are they going to do? Play online? The servers wouldn't even be up for Xbox one yet.

Legally, it was his fault and Microsoft was under the correct bounds to ban the guy. Ethically it's another question though

It's his fault. It's common sense. He's banned till the release not forever. MS did the right thing idiot

Even
VEVO So basically that 500GB hard drive is extremely measly. Nice. Seeing how big these downloads are, I must say, I feel REALLY bad for you guys still stuck with slow internet. Times are changing big.

Yeah my crappy 5mbps download speed is going to TANK sooo bad for me if I want to do anything.. Better try and get a deal for a decent 25mbps from Comcast or something..

Sucks that nether console has much space when it comes to games now. Xbone has USBs and PS4 can change out hardrives (or whatever), but still, 500gb just doesn't feel like enough now.

I don't see how it was his fault at all. If I got it early I would play it too.
