Xbox One dashboard video show off app snapping

4.7
Video footage showing Xbox One's Snap functionality has been posted online.

Snapping allows Xbox One users to quickly switch between multiple applications at the same time and, in some cases, run them side-by-side on screen.

The video below, which were captured by The Verge , offer a general overview of how multitasking works on the Xbox One dashboard, and also demonstrate Killer Instinct running alongside a snapped in instance of Internet Explorer.

Warren also commented that the dashboard is "fast" and "snapping apps like IE is super quick".

Microsoft has confirmed the Xbox One release date as November 22, 2013 in 13 markets including North America, UK and Australia.

KAQ Well that looks fairly good , but when it launches every one trying to do this might cause some lag :/
These functions rely on the CPU, not your connect or Microsofts servers...

Thlack Mhmmmm, I still have to make the life-changing decision of which console to get....

Just make sure to do your research between the both of them and make an informed decision of what to actually buy, instead of going along with the hype train. Also remember that building a PC is an alternative that you may want to look into

NDSU The Xbox One will really make me happy. But its so pricy.

for what you are getting $500 really isn't too much when you think of it. I personally don't mind the price tag much

To be fair, the build int he KI video has been confirmed to be an old build. And the first video is someone clearly fiddling with it for the first time while at the Xbox One road show, just watching it I could see how he could do what he was trying to do a bit quicker.

Its also been confirmed that you can double tap the Xbox button on the controller to switch between Game/App control, something the these guys clearly didn't know.

With regards to the squashing aspect ratio in the KI video, Albert Penello has said on Twitter this is not the case with the latest builds. The battlefield 4 video shows it to be resized nicely, maintaining the ratio so i assume thats a newer build.
