4.5
Sony has confirmed that the option to use your your real-name through PSN will be made available at launch for PlayStation 4. Sony announced the ability to use a real-name ID would be available on the console, but until today it was unknown whether it would be made available at launch. Xbox One will allow users to do the same thing, but the option will not be made available at launch.

So it will say your Full Name instead of the Gamertag?

I'm guessing people see you in-game as your name, but when they add you and stuff it's your ID, sort of like pc?

Not sure I really understand, is this like a Tag to go with your regular gamertag?

It will be good if you haven't played with someone in ages and have forgotten there name, but I can also see why it is too personal.

I don't see why someone would want to use there real name!

What's the point of using your real name?

Thlack I reserved two usernames already. Haha
You wish. You can't reserve names buddy...

Pilkington they have done this just because microsoft have delayed this option at launch
I agree. Notice how they say it straight after too? I think Sony are being a bit childish/cheeky...

I personally don't like this feature 1 bit. Think of all the fake names people will make. I don't want to see peoples names. I'd rather call someone 'Hydra HD' (or whatever) than some weird, hard to pronounce name...

Truth- Abit scary and maybe too personal?

If you think it is scary you can just use an alias or whatever you have been using in the past. I don't think they are forcing you to use your game.
