Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released on PC in Q1 2014 – report

Grand Theft Auto 5 will be released on PC in 2014, according to multiple industry sources close to Eurogamer.

The release plan mirrors the same one used for Grand Theft Auto 4, which released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 29 before launching on PC the following December.

In August Nvidia’s senior director of investor relations, Chris Evenden, noted a PC version of GTA 5 during a financial call, but the firm said this was made in error.

Earlier this week, Intel executive Chris R. Silva said he expects Grand Theft Auto 5 to come to PC eventually, suggesting the PC version was excluded at launch due to “someone” paying to keep it on consoles.

Supposedly, a source code for the PC and a PlayStation 4 version were found in the Xbox 360 version, which oddly did not include a source code for Xbox One.

To date, almost 600,000 people have signed a petition asking for the game on PC.

The sources state the game will be released on PC in the first quarter of 2014.

Won't be too many actual purchases since you can pirate pretty much everything on the internet.

Mobil 600,000 People! Dang they will make Bank!

Add that onto the millions they made on console.

I highly doubt that 600,000 people will end up purchasing the game though. I could see around 50,000-100,000 of them not owning a PC that can run it (yet signing it because they believe that PC gamer's deserve to have it) and at least 100,000+ people who are planning to simply pirate it.

McCutchen I'm surprised that they didn't have a PC version during launch. That's where all the money's at it seems.

pc games always come out after console its rare that it will be out same day as them takes longer to make but it always pays off

I think releasing it on PC is a great idea. I will likely be buying it on steam just for the mods that are going to come out despite already having it on the Xbox 360. It seems that the high amount of public demand finally got through to rockstar
