Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has come to terms with “Xbone” nickname
“At first, I guess the thing that bugged me the most is I didn’t see it,” Spencer told GameSpot. “I’d been looking at the name for Xbox One for months, and I wasn’t clever enough to merge them and come up with Xbone.
“I think it’s going to stick. I think we can say we don’t like it as much as we want, but it’s a clever use of the name. Probably not the most flattering name, but I think it’s going to be there.”

PawnStarsMentalist I actually prefer Xbone to be honest, easier to type and looks better.
It is much easier to type, and I don't think anyone who actually types or says it thinks of it as an insult anymore
Yeah I use x1 because its even easier to type lol

It looks way better but sounds kind of funny

Cost I didn't really consider this an insult in the first place.
Me neither, I thought it was funny and they took it a bit too serious at the start.

-Skillz It also sounds much better than x1
I use x1, sounds more normal and not like an insult like people see xbone

It does sound like an insult a little bit, but it's here to stay

It was definitely made to be an insult but since it sounds so much like a actual nickname they could of come up with they decided to just roll with it. Which really is the best thing to do instead of continually trying to fight it and possibly make it harder on them
