Xbox Live Gold will be free this weekend, October 4-6 in many, many regions. Full list is below.

Regions include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

It will be a free weekend in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico October 11-14 and in Japan November 7-10.

You guys are all right, they do do this every few weeks/months, but usually not in this many regions. Might as well be free gold for the whole world! I think it's partly because of GTA 5, but I think also partly because MS appreciates all of their loyal fans who pay to play instead of choosing a PS3. But I'd rather them show this through Games with Gold which they aren't doing a great job so far, not through free Gold weekends.
