Xbox Live Gold is free this weekend

Xbox Live Gold will be free this weekend, October 4-6 in many, many regions. Full list is below.

Regions include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.

It will be a free weekend in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico October 11-14 and in Japan November 7-10.

Not really. It let's people experience Gold id they can't afford it. Or if people don't play online games it let's them use the other features and apps on Gold too.

It's nice of Microsoft to give away a free xbox live weekend when GTA Online has just come out let's hope all the kinks have been ironed out by then.
