PS4 more popular among consumers than Xbox One, according to Reuters

PlayStation 4 will be this holiday season’s format of choice, according to a poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos.

Yahoo News reports that the poll was conducted last week – between Sept 23-27 and some 1,297 people were surveyed. 26 per cent of those consulted said they would buy a PS4 at or after launch, while 15 per cent preferred the Xbox One.

The gap is said to widen when sampling the 408 people polled under the age of 40, with 41 per cent favouring PS4, and 27 per cent looking to buy an Xbox One.

Off the bat, I’m wondering why most of the people polled were over the age of 40, seeing as the target demographic is currently hitting heights of 35, but that’s by-the-by.

Of the 1,297 respondent people polled, only 3 per cent said they played games on Wii U. 20 percent on Xbox 360, 18 per cent on PS3 and 20 per cent on home computers.

PS4 releases November 15 and 29 in the US and EU respectively, while Xbox One drops November 22 in both regions.

It's only 100$, not that much money.
You get what you pay for.

You will get a Kinect for the $100 and that's it...

I know but it's kinda worth it.
It can do amazing things but if I had a choice I don't think I would get it

It's easily worth it if you want a kinect, I'm not saying the value for that is bad. I just don't use the kinect and that's not going to change no matter how advanced it is.

Muah I honestly don't think it's more popular, I just think it was a more reasonable choice to preorder first, seeing that it is cheaper. I think there will be lot of people waiting until Christmas week, and so. And lots of people saving up atm.

I think most consoles will be sold around the holidays, they'll make alot of money (Microsoft & Sony)

I've seen the pre-orders for the PS4, and their insane! I'm getting a PS4 by the way, just suits me better since I had the PS3 aswell so I can just continue to use my account.

I saw the poll on YouTube and it says which one has a better online between Play Station 3 and Xbox 360 other days and Play Station 3 wins over xbox 360 8 times more, but in realistic we all know that xbox live is far superior than Play Station 3 online.

This poll doesn't exist because too many Play Station's fans get bored of their console and use the internet instead. Seriously, it's hard to believe that Play Station's fans are influenced everywhere on the internet.

If you think the xbox one is better then you just arent accepting the facts. The ps4 is more powerful, better GPU, and the service online (assuming what theyve said so far comes true) will be 100 times better because it wont be behind a paywall.
The only reason I could see getting the Xbone at launch is because you love forza or dead rising. Or because youve had the original xbox and had live way back then.

I'm sure that you don't get my simple point. I suggest you to go back to kindergarten.
