Grand Theft Auto Online micro-transaction details and prices revealed

4.2
The rumours are true. Grand Theft Auto Online has micro-transactions, and they’ll cost between £1.99 and £13.49. This will buy you individual packs of in-game money.

Eurogamer has spoken to people with early access to Grand Theft Auto Online, and has the details. There will be 4 GTA Online currency cards, with the following UK prices:

- $100,000 Red Shark Cash Card – £1.99
- $200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card – £3.49
- $500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card – £6.99
- $1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card – £13.49

With less than a week before the online modes go live, it seems unlikely that these details will change too severely.

The price of items will vary between the single-player game and Online. So a property that may cost several million in your own game will far cheaper in the Online mode. The most expensive property will set you back $400,000. Conversely, weapon and car mods will be more expensive online so that they’re out of reach when you first start playing.

So, buy spending your real world cash on in-game currency, a low-level player can get faster access to improved vehicles and weaponry.

We can expect full details about GTA Online to be confirmed by Rockstar very soon.

BSOD ugh, I hate microtransactions. I hate wasting money

Then don't buy anything for GTA V, I'm not trying to hate. If you don't like them then there is no need to buy 'em.

I don't mind, if you don't like micro-transactions like me, then just don't buy it.

Technology A bit disappointing seeing Rockstar take this route. wasn't the $700m+ profit in first 3 days alone enough? doing this seems a little greedy.

So you would rather want them to have this Money DLC for free so everyone can start out with a nice car and a awesome house ? Lol, it's just an extra DLC that you can buy..

LOL, someone is obviously pro-micro-transactions. It ruins the game for everyone that actually wants to experience the game and work there way up. There mine as well be money hack DAY 1 of GTA 5 online, since it gives other player advantages with weapons and vehicles.

ZENU96 This is just gonna take the fun out of the game in my opinion.

Hands down agree with you. I think Rockstar is doing what freaking apps on the appstore are doing -_-

To make more money and plus some people don't like taking the time to earn money legitly (I don't know how that's fun though)
