PS4 startup beep sounds identical to PS3's

4.4
Ever wondered what the PlayStation 4 startup beep sounds like? Well, it sounds a lot like the PlayStation 3's...

A video posted on Instagram last night by SCEE UK's PR manager reveals PlayStation 4's boot up sounds, including the beep and initial fan noise, with the former appearing identical to PS3's. You can take a listen to it below.

Balloons COME ON I WAS REALLY HOPING THIS WAS GONE, it's hard to play games at night with that beep not waking everyone up

I know right I was hopeing for that too

I just knew it... the tiny design with the power supply and everything confined inside of it will cause it to heat up more and make a lot of noise due to the tiny vents.

Kalooma Still better than that gay Xbox 360/Xbox One sound. :)

Nice, opinion but not many people care. maybe sony will be able to keep online longer this gen. To many "maintenance" jobs

What the **** does that have to do with anything here?
Get the **** out.

not getting this system because of the beep being similar to the PS3, said nobody ever.

That's a little detail that they actually could change.

Why is everyone complaining about the noise a system makes, when it boots up? It's just a noise, to tell you that it has booted up.

lmao, they could not even change the beep???

I would like a nice beep with my Xbox and not a dumb beep from a PlayStation.
