Gran Turismo 6 getting 'fairly large' day-one patch

When Gran Turismo 6 launches on December 6, it will come with a sizable patch. The day-one patch will primarily address a few issues with the game's online features, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi told Eurogamer, adding that the developer is "still overflowing with stuff we'd like to do. So I think the day one patch will be a fairly large patch."

Yamauchi noted the patch isn't out of the ordinary for the developer, as Gran Turismo 5 was updated shortly after the game's launch. "It's the same every time. Everything's very tight. It's an incredibly tight schedule," Yamauchi said. "As to being able to include everything we want to on day one, we probably won't be able to. I think for the 12 months following the release we'll continue to update the software. Because in Gran Turismo 6 we're preparing a lot of different things we haven't even touched on yet."

Dr-J If I ever bought a PS4, I would not buy this. Forza and NFS are such better racing games

I have to admit Forza is a great game, but Gran Turismo isn't too bad either.

Novel I have never heard of this game, it is any good or is it just another car racing game? I'm getting bored with COD and woul really like other things to play

The game is good yes Gran Turismo 5 was not that good in my opinion but from what I have seen they have improved the game a hell of a lot and I am interested in buying it and seeing what they have changed.

-Ghosty Least they are keeping ontop of things and patching stuff quickly

That's the good thing at least they are patching things and when Microsoft and Sony announced that they are scrapping the Patch fee I am sure the developers where made up as the small indie developers could not afford $40,000 to patch their game.

Gossip Aren't they supposed to make sure the games good before the release?

But even through vigorous testing they will always find a bug somewhere and they have a set time to send the data to be burned to disc and then they can patch it at a later date just they must of found a major issue on the game and are correcting it with the patch or they are adding a lot of DLC lol.
