Xbox TV division has “literally hundreds of ideas” for TV content

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has stated that the company has, “literally hundreds of ideas” when it comes to Xbox TV content, aside from the announced Halo series.


Speaking with Bloomberg, Spencer said of the Xbox TV studio in Los Angeles, “They have literally hundreds of ideas that they are incubating right now,” and added, “”We will have some new announcement for TV shows coming pretty soon.”

On the topic of interactive sports broadcasting, Spencer added, “We believe sports is a very interesting category globally.”

I think the Xbox One will actually, in a sense, revolutionize the gaming console. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

First off, Microsoft develops the console and the experience with it, not the games. The games rest solely on the developers/publishers. When your done with your games what else is their to do? Xbox One will be your all in one. When your done playing your games, you can watch tv shows, sports, YouTube videos, use apps, or anything else. They gave the developers EVERYTHING they need to make amazing games. Also it is supposed to be a MEDIA center, because Games, TV, Movies, Music, ect ARE forms of media.

You sir, are one the most retarded fanboys I have ever seen post a comment. I couldn't help but giggle when I read your comment. The people who are creating Xbox want to show, they can do more than just play games. Xbox One isn't just a one trick pony like EVERYONE wants them to be. You say, "Focus on games". What the hell do you think they were doing for years? The original Xbox was only games as far as I remember, that was fun until you got bored of the games you had and then realized, you had nothing else to do.

If by "that show" you are referring to the live action Halo series that was revealed at E3, It has not began and won't until 2014. So, unless you own a functional time machine, how can you sit there are claim it is ridiculous? You have never seen the show and you know that. You just wanted to talk trash. I, like Dr-J, love the idea of Xbox TV and excitedly look forward to the live action Halo series.
Well the Halo 4 tv show was stupid if you seen it.
