CoD: Ghosts next-gen upgrade options include “disc-less dual license”

4.4
Activision has detailed a couple of new options for grabbing a next-gen version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for those who purchase a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 copy.

As detailed in a website update, Xbox fans have the option to purchase a “disc-less dual license” through the Xbox Game Ahead Program. Available through participating retailers at an RRP of $70, it offers two digital copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts – one for Xbox 360, and one for Xbox One – tied to a specific gamertag.

The same deal is available through the Xbox live Marketplace, by purchasing the Xbox 360 version for $50 and then paying out $10 for the Xbox One version.

The PS3 version is eligible for a similar deal, whether you pick it up at retail or through the PlayStation Store; for a limited time, all store-bought copies will come with a download code unlocking a $10 version for PS4.

Exact prices for these deals will vary by territory, with a €10 and £10 upgrade price suggested for Europe and the UK respectively. One definite detail is that all upgrade deals must be redeemed by the end of March 2014, though.

These new options are in addition to various retailer offers, which allow purchasers in various territories to grab a PS4 or Xbox One copy for $10, on top of the purchase price of the original. A full breakdown is available on the page linked above.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is due on PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 on November 5, with PS4 and Xbox One versions coming when the new console launches.

Osbourne This is a really good idea, but unfortunately I've been disappointed with the CoD games compared to Battlefield, so I think I'm going to get BF4 instead, at least at first.

Yeah, its a good point, and I agree with you, about being disappointed in CoD. I can agree with you there.

Seem Im honestly gonna get Battlefield 4 over this call duty has never changed and never will

You're an idiot.

Have you even played Black Ops 2?

or any other call of duty for that matter... if youre gonna say each call of duty is the same, then every battlefield is the same. you also gotta remember 2 things, 1. there are a **** ton more call of dutys than battlefields so its bound to be less changes, even though battlefield doesnt change either, 2. why would you change the structure of call of duty when its outselling every game every single year. i think they are doing what the majority of ppl want..

Sounds like you're a cod fanboy. You have no say

He's true though, it's the top three best selling game every year, they're not really loosing much market share and BF4 really doesn't look too much different.

To everyone that keeps continuing to post things about getting banned and not being able to play your game. Don't get banned? It's as simple as that, don't do idiotic things like trying to run around in a game with infinite health or play any games that haven't come out yet. You all seem very sure that you're 100% likely that you will get console banned the next day after you buy your "disc-less" copy of CoD Ghosts.

I would rather have a disk just incase something goes corrupt and messes up the game.
