Rockstar advises owners of GTA V on 360 not to install the “play” disc

4.4
Rockstar has advised a fan on Twitter not to install the “play” disc of the game.

GTA V ships on two discs on Xbox 360, the first of which, the “install” disc, is the only one required to be installed. The installation weighs in at just over 7GB. Some fans were expecting to also install the second disc for better performance, but apparently that’s not the case.

The publisher said to expect more details at launch.

7 GB for the install disc? I had nowhere near that much free on my HDD and my USB was also pretty full. If I end up getting this for 360, I have no idea how I'll even play rofl.

Unlike most other games, in this case, GTA has a lower framerate when the second disc is installed on the hard drive because the game has to access both discs from one drive at the same time.

Cokes Why do they have to do all this weird garbage? Just tell us what this is and how it will affect used games and such. I swear, Microsoft is ridiculously greedy to where it is affecting the customers. PS3 is open to used games and license transferring to where they even call it game sharing.

I think Rockstar is warning users that if they do install it they might get banned?

Why would we get banned for having a retail game on a retail xbox released and played at the time of launch.Installing a game typically improves load speeds and performance but why is it different this time?

its unnecessary because of the install disc and likely adds no benefit at all except waste HDD space. Why do people have to question everything?

It is saying that there is no need to install the actual game disk, just the install disk. People believe that installing the actual game will make the games performance better, but that isn't the case.

I install my games anyways just to be on the safe side, if I ever run into the scenario where I scratch the game and it won't work.

I usually always install my games anyways, just in case I scratch them or damage them.

Cyimking Is it me... or does the game graphics doesn't look that good? Maybe it's just people's videos making it look bad... but the grass just looks sooo bad.

Exactly what I thought. The graphics look absolutely abysmal for a game that's been so hyped in this generation of free roam games.

it has to be the videos themselves. if you look at trailers and footage from the producers themselves it isnt bad. and not to mention, if they spent over 250 mil on the game, im sure it will have some good graphics to it lol

yea its just the video buy it and try it on your TV you will see the difference. if you have a crappy TV oh well.
