Free Forza 5 added to Xbox One pre-order deal

4.4
Microsoft has added Forza Motorsport 5 to its Xbox One 'Day One Edition' pre-order promotion in Europe.

UK retailers GAME, Amazon.co.uk and ShopTo are offering the deal, which rewards Xbox One pre-orders with either a free digital copy of Forza 5 or the previously announced FIFA 14.

In August Microsoft announced that free digital copies of FIFA 14 would be included in "the first" of the Day One bundles, suggesting that another title would later be offered. That title now appears to be Turn 10's racer.

Microsoft confirmed today that a new "limited" supply of 'Day One Edition' consoles has been made available for pre-order.

However, at least one UK retailer - Amazon - reports that it's sold out of FIFA 14 versions of the Day One bundle.

The Xbox One release date has been confirmed as November 22 in 13 markets, including North America, UK and Australia.

The Xbox One price has been set at £430 / €500 / $500.

Microsoft has confirmed an Xbox One launch games line-up of more than 20 titles, including Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5 and Killer Instinct.

Yin Pretty depressing nothing about North America yet. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I read there are some talks that North America will have a game as well. What that game will be has yet to be announced. I could see it being Madden. I would be happy with Forza 5 even though I'm not a racing type of person. I don't see why America wouldn't get one. If they are doing this because of the price, then they should have just lowered it. It just seems they are doing something nice for Day One buyers, which will be proven if they ever decide to give North America a game.

I will be really pissed off if you get something like Call of Duty or Battlefield :(

I'm not going to lie, I'd be mad for you and everyone else outside of the US as well. I mean, of course I'll be happy and take it, but it would be pretty dumb since those are two of the biggest games out there. I was surprised by them giving Forza 5 to the UK though. Forza is a pretty big name on Xbox. Not saying FIFA isn't, but it is almost a guarantee of releasing every year, so one free release won't hurt them. We will see I guess (or not see if they decide not to, lol.)

Either way Microsoft have pumped a lot of money in contracts with these publishers and it will be costly to them but they see it as a valid investment as they are sure that they are going to be ensuring a profit somewhere down the line in game royalties not to mention they are selling the console at a small profit too.

I really think that I would rather pay less money then to get these games. I really don't expect to see any free games in North America, anytime soon, if anything we might have some bundles but we would have to pay more for that bundle.
