Xbox One: Microsoft needs to “cough up” the release date, says EA

EA’s COO Peter Moore has stated that Microsoft needs to “cough up” the Xbox One’s release date.

Speaking with GI.biz, Moore discussed the fact that competing formats have never released so close before, given that PS4 will drop in North America on November 15, and that Xbox One is also pegged for a November launch.

“It has never happened this way,” he said. “There’s always been a period of time, a sorbet between consoles, that has cleansed the palate and allowed us to move on. It might be a week, who knows? Microsoft needs to cough up the date.”

This was the same interview that saw Moore explain that Microsoft has been aggressive with EA, when asked about the special partnership between both companies.

Around half of their consumer base is on Xbox, I couldn't see a possible reason for them keeping their games just to sony


Actually most likely a little more than half. Considering most online gamers play Xbox. Ps3 has way more offline

Don't know why they are holding out so long -_-. It have to be before the 15th or after the 15th (by a week). If i was them, i would have it b4. I doubt ppl are going to buy both consoles

If you mean release first, then I think that's true. I think they will release before PS4.
If you mean sell more, I am not too sure about that.

Ampz To be honest, I don't care for the release date. Because I probably won't be getting it on release anyway.


Exactly. Most likely get it a few months later.


Well there is a lot of Day Ones gone so a good amount will be getting it on release, although I am sure purchases will be good for a few months after release.
