Xbox One release date 'late November', hints PepsiCo promo

4.7
The Xbox One release date is targeted for 'late November', according to words from PepsiCo, a promotional parter of Microsoft.

So stipulates the company in a terms and conditions document for an upcoming promo campaign for which PepsiCo and MS have partnered to give away 'an Xbox One every two minutes' between November 5 and January 17.

"Xbox One has targeted launch date of late November 2013," reads the text. "Therefore, the initial shipments may be slightly delayed; please allow 12-14 weeks for delivery," it adds (via NeoGAF).

Microsoft has so far only officially confirmed Xbox One's launch for 'November'. Sony has confirmed a US PS4 release date of November 15 and an EU launch of November 29.

This is the latest in an onslaught of Xbox One release date rumours, with recent retailer leaks heavily suggesting a November 8 launch.

The Xbox One will launch in 13 markets this November, with eight including Russia and Sweden delayed to a 2014 release.

Ampz I pretty much expected it to be released in November.

We knew November. They said that long ago. What it up for debate is the date in November. Most people have been arguing either the 5th, 12th or 19th, considering that Microsoft loves Tuesdays and any later than the 19th would be marketing suicide with both the release of "Watch Dogs" and the impending "Black Friday" just around the corner. Most people even rule out the 19th, knowing how much Microsoft like to be earlier than Sony on everything. The past week, due to some "leaked" wal-mart launches scheduling, many have been leaning towards the 8th. So, now most people think it will either be the 5th, 8th or 12th. The "Every2Minutes" promotion states 2 days that people have been salivating over and making foolish predictions. Some are getting excited because they assume that the contest starting on Nov. 5th indicates the 5th as the release date. Others, just as foolishly, noted that the contest rules stated that the Xbox One was aiming for a late November release. However, this statement about late November is several months old, as in, from BEFORE E3. Truth be told, these contest rules mean NOTHING. They do not indicate a release date either way.

What is this? Someone actually making an informing comment in the news section? I thought that everyone was here just for the MVC... I commend you good sir, this comment actually informed me more than most of the news here.
