Halo Xbox One is “the next chapter”, according to Microsoft Store

The Microsoft Store has reportedly posted a few brief lines outlining the plot of the next Halo game for Xbox One, confirming it is a new story entry.

Although we weren’t able to find the original, according to a screengrab posted by AllGamesBeta, the Microsoft Store had this to say regarding the new Halo game:

“In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted. Pre-order the next chapter in the wildly popular Halo series designed exclusively for Xbox One.”

Nobody has been really sure what the new Halo will be about because 343 Industries has said it’s not Halo 5, although it is a legitimate entry int he story and will expand on the Reclaimer trilogy.

The new game was announced at E3 2013 and is coming to Microsoft’s new console in 2014, and will run at 60 FPS.

You picked a terrible place to start, I think that reach was the worst in the entire series(I even liked wars more)but halo4 was okay.

Carb0n I have an imagination of this story. Since the Libarian told Cheif about the digital forms to a living form could be done with Forerunner technology, and at the end when Cortana said "The rest of me is down there" which meant the ship. It's possible that after Chief was diseased of his armor that he went to find the Pheonix and Halsey to create Cortana into a human form. All possible stories that can conclude my idea of the game. Can't wait!


Not a bad idea, I like it! I still don't plan on buying the Xbone as of right now but if I decide on the PS4 I'll definitely have to borrow a friends console to play the game.

I pray to all that is Holy that you're right. Those who want a whole new story are nuts in my opinion. I can't just brush off Cortana like that. No way in Hell!

It's not a trilogy anymore I don't know why the post said that. But anyway this is the only reason I want an Xbox One. The Next gen consoles are kinda crappy.
