Here is a closer look at the Xbox One headset

4.7
Earlier today, we got the first look at the Xbox One after Major Nelson unboxed the new console that will be shipping later this year. One item that many had been curious about and not seen in detail previously, was the headset that will be included with the new console.

For those of you with an Xbox 360, you will know that voice communication is a key part of the online gaming experience, especially when you can link up with your friends and you mute the annoying tweens. So, what does the Xbox One have in store for delivering those smooth vibrations to your eardrums and are there any differences from the previous generation?

The new headset has been updated from the Xbox 360 edition to redesign the mute and volume up/down buttons of the headset that affixes to the controller. Along with a few other cosmetic changes, such as a more squared off look, as opposed to the more rounded design of the Xbox 360, the headset retain the basic shape and layout that Xbox users are accustomed too.

Other than that, it’s a basic headset that for the console with mono-output and the standard black spongy material to cover the speaker.

Purity The headset looks great I hope they dont break as easily though :/

They will break just as easy! But you could sell it and get Turtle Beaches or Astros! That's what I am going to do. Bad thing is the headset is worth like 2 dollars!

They will. That's why they're free.

The PS ones are just as worse.

I bet these will break easier than the 360 models, why don't they give in and just do what Sony's doing and put in a regular 5.5mm jack so people can plug in their own headsets?

AwesomeSauce69 This looks very very cheaply made. the controller too looks cheaply made. Also for 45 pounds for the controller what a rip off.

agreed. It looks like the controller is just a condensed version of the 360 one so that it would cost less plastic to be made. Micro$oft looks to be spending less and less to make more and more profits.

Xbox controllers are much, much more durable than playstation controllers, I have had my ps3 for 4+ years and we have had 5 or so controllers bought for it due to how easily they break.

I've had my xbox for 4 years and I'm still using the controller I got inside the box, a few scratches, but works flawlessly.

I like the new wire, looks durable. Also with the size of that connector I bet pulling it out by accident will happen less...lololol.

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, making the controller costs them about 30 dollars, then the store you buy it from adds more on, both the store and Microsoft need to make money@
