I don't understand how his reason is atrocious? I presume you are buying the console for gaming, so how do you think games have nothing to do with it? Because the console he's buying it for is still the most restriction console out there. (even though it's not really "out there" yet) I don't think it's worth getting a console like that for just one game. Ever since 343 took over, Halo's gone kind of stale anyway.
My point is how can you really make a decision over which to pick by one game therefore one single specific feature. The reason i am getting the one is because of about 30 things i prefer over the ps4. The fact that he clearly doesn't like the one is probably a reason why i wouldn't get it. I agree, but there is still one difference between the companies. Reliability. Microsoft has been successful with Xbox Live, while Sony has a hard time maintaining their online account system.

Favism doesnt psn+ give online capabilities? without online capabilities there isnt much to record. maybe walkthroughs but there isnt any online gameplay being able to be recorded. it realy isnt that big a deal
