Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t have branching missions

Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t be taking the less-linear route of Black Ops 2′s branching missions and choices, as developer Infinity Ward has plumped for the standard corridor format once more.


Speaking with OPM, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin said, “We don’t have the same branching system [Treyarch] do, obviously. But there is basically this way that, when you are in a mission, you might find something, if you grab it, then something opens up later in a different mission, or something happens later in that mission, that wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t do them”.

He added that these mystery items will pop up “several times throughout the whole campaign”, so just like our source PCGamesN suggested, it’s probably intel – mobile phones, laptops and the like.

I'm glad they done this because branching missions made the gameplay boring and annoying and this will resurrect the campaign to its former glory

As much as I hate to say it. I think you're right. I think the new engines are going to screw with everyone.


That's why I stopped playing Multiplayer since BO1 and just played zombies :/


Yeah, I didn't like the multiplayer on the newer ones. I only played the zombies on BO and BO2. Didn't even bother with multiplayer on MW3 either. I loved MW2 and all the ones before that.

Ted- Same as Cod4, MW2 and MW3. There are no surprises coming out of IW yet, I really hope the Multiplayer on the new engine is incredible


Well, CoD is big for the multiplayer, I don't think I have completely finished the campaign on a CoD.
