Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t have branching missions

4.3
Call of Duty: Ghosts won’t be taking the less-linear route of Black Ops 2′s branching missions and choices, as developer Infinity Ward has plumped for the standard corridor format once more.

Speaking with OPM, Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin said, “We don’t have the same branching system [Treyarch] do, obviously. But there is basically this way that, when you are in a mission, you might find something, if you grab it, then something opens up later in a different mission, or something happens later in that mission, that wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t do them”.

He added that these mystery items will pop up “several times throughout the whole campaign”, so just like our source PCGamesN suggested, it’s probably intel – mobile phones, laptops and the like.

What do you make of the above?

Doesn't bother me on little bit, didn't like them anyway.

Armz Call of duty has been massively repetitive over the last couple of games released. This one however is certainly looking to give it that much needed change. It's looking good.

I agree, dude. It's one of those "now or never" situations, right? Every new CoD which has been released, I have played for around 1 week (yes, no-lifed... lol) before I have gotten bored, and then of course I don't play CoD until the next year. I have a weird habit of buying them every single year, even though the games suck IMO. Haha.

Mortar This sounds rather good, I personally didn't greatly enjoy the campaign in Black Ops 2 because of the branching mission style. I prefer it when there is one outcome so I don't miss out on anything during a single playthrough on Veteran.

I personally liked it about BO2

Keychain They need to bring back cheats from gathering intel.

That was a fun little addition, the death cards I think they were called? It'd be fun to have them back.

Sorta. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had cheats for intel.
Call of Duty: World at War had cheats for death cards. Not really the same though.

death cards were better than the Intel cheats though
