New Killer Instinct trailer teases Chief Thunder

A new Killer Instinct trailer shown at Evo 2013 over the weekend has teased Chief Thunder as a playable character in the upcoming fighter.

Officially confirmed characters to date include Jago, Sabrewulf and Glacius. Ice-like being Glacius was the main subject of the latest trailer, which showed off a range of his moves, but it closed with a teaser.

While Chief Thunder himself wasn't shown, the trailer closes with a tomahawk sinking into a tree, suggesting a return is on the cards for the Native American character.

Killer Instinct was announced at E3 as a free-to-play launch day title for Xbox One.

Featuring "robust progression and rewards, dynamic challenges customised to player behavior, and predictive matchmaking for seamless competitive fights", the long-awaited, much-requested sequel is being developed by Double Helix rather than series creator Rare.

The base edition of the game will come with one playable character in the form of Jago. Players wishing to access further playable characters will be required to pay for each for yet-be-announced prices, but there will also be a lump sum option.

A Microsoft spokesperson said shortly after the game's reveal: "Some [fighting] games have anywhere between 30, 40, even 50 characters. And in reality, most players don't play that many characters.

"You only have so much time to get good at so many characters. So we wanted to release the game in a way that took that into consideration and allowed players to get in and play the game at the level that they want to play it."

Next they will be making you pay to view the character's endings.

It's a trap!

Yeah , a lot of games do that to make money like really they do , they think people will pay for that , who would? I wouldn't not a penny.
