Xbox One not available at Gamestop, retailers run short on next-gen

The Xbox One Day One Edition at Gamestop is currently unavailable, after the retailer re-opened pre-orders this weekend. All of the Xbox One Day One bundles – including Battlefield 4, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Watch Dogs and Call of Duty: Ghosts – are unavailable for purchase.

As of July 12, Gamestop still had Xbox One bundles in stock and open to pre-order, but these retailer stockpiles are dwindling fast. Amazon is out of Day One editions, but the Standard edition is still up for pre-order. Xbox One Day One pre-orders will hit Best Buy "soon," while Wal Mart pre-orders are still live. Wal Mart, Amazon and Best Buy both have the PS4 available for pre-order, though the launch-day bundles are MIA.

We've contacted Gamestop for clarification on Xbox One availability.

Exactly. Plus maybe in the future they will figure out a way to merge the current servers with the cloud making 360 the first console to never die =D

i hate to say it like i'm trying to act like i'm all knowing but, i kind of expected this.
seems like they made it so they were short hand so that consumers would want it even more.

I had to pre-order my xbox day one edition from amazon as at the time my local GameStop had sold out.

I know this doesn't necessarily guarantee me the day one console (amazon can't guarantee all pre-orders).
But if I don't get my console on the actual release day and don't get it set up on the release day, do I miss out on the achievement? Or is the achievement linked to the console?

I ended up ordering mine online through gamestop.

There is no way I'm standing in line for a couple of hours.

I'd rather just pay for one day shipping and get it shipped to my house.

i live in a very small town with a gamestop and they had 1000 in stock and today they were out -.-


GAME in the U.K still sell both consoles
