PS4 also playable at Comic Con

Sony will be letting members of the public get all touchy-feely with the PlayStation 4 at the San Diego Comic Con.

Following confirmation of Xbox One's attendance from Microsoft earlier this week, Sony has said its next-generation console will also be playable at the show, making it the first event at which members of the public can get their hands on the new consoles (aside from the seemingly thousands of LA residents that snuck into E3 in June).

The PlayStation Booth (#301) will host a selection of PS4, PS3 and Vita games, including Driveclub and Knack on PS4 (full list below).

The firm will also host two events on July 19: a The Last of Us signing with creative director Neil Druckmann at 2pm, and a panel on 'The Art of Video Games' at 4pm with Dark Horse PR director Jeremy Atkins, creators Faith Erin Hicks and Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us), "and some surprise guest writers and artists".

On July 20 at 4pm, Robert Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead comic series) and Telltale Game's Dan Connors (Telltale Games CEO) and Kevin Bruner (Telltale Games president and CTO) will host a panel titled 'Behind the Scenes with Telltale Games' The Walking Dead Game Series'.

The San Diego Comic Con takes place at the San Diego Convention Center from July 18 - 21.

There is a service that would allow you to play ps3 and ps2 games.


i dont think it will include ps2 games.. it would be pointless anyway.. the graphics would be so bad...


If they came out and said that we could play PS2 games on it, it would almost instantly gain like 5% of console gamers. Haha. I for one would be thrilled.

In early 2014 they will basically be using the cloud to have the PS3 marketplace on your PS4 so you can actually play PS3 games and arcade games that were for PS3.


Does this mean that you will need to have purchased your games from the Play Station Network on the PS3 in order to play them on the PS4?

It's pretty cool that both of the consoles are going to be at Comic Con this year. It will be a great experience for anyone who attends.
