Eurosport app launches on Xbox Live

4.5
The Eurosport Player app is now available in 20 European markets in 13 different languages, providing live and on demand access to Xbox Live Gold members.

Supporting voice and gesture controls via Kinect, viewers can choose from live programming on Eurosport and Eurosport 2, catch up services across select programmes and live bonus content on certain events.

Featured events in 2013 include tennis, with access to seven courts at the US Grand Slam, coverage of the Moto GP Championships, IAAF World Championships and the Women's UEFA European Championships.

Customers who purchase a new 12 months Xbox Live Gold subscription from GAME in the UK (available online from July 10-17 or in selected stores this summer) will receive a three months free subscription to the Eurosport Player app.

Microsoft's plan to retire MS Points got off to a shaky start this week after beta testers for the next Xbox 360 system update found that the conversion process to real world currency left them being asked to pay significantly more for content. Responding to complaints, the platform holder called the dodgy conversion process "an unintended error" and promised to reimburse those affected.

Good for those that don't have sport channels or those that just want it for a while.

I'm kinda jealous because they get to watch the Grand Slam tournament on Xbox.

I don't really know of a lot of people who are that into sports who will get an app for sports. But hey if someone wants to get this app then by all means go for it.
