Has someone taken apart the Xbox One controller?

4.5
Microsoft claims that it has made quite a few changes and improvements to the Xbox One controller compared to the one made for the Xbox 360. A lot of those changes were made inside the gamepad. Now a website claims to have gotten a hold of a Xbox One controller and has torn it down to show what's inside.

The Xbox Skyer site claims that it picked up the controller in the port city of Dongguan, China. The images, which unfortunately have a ton of words obscuring its details, show the casing of what appears to be a real Xbox One controller, along with the circuit board inside.

While there's not a lot of new information that can be gleaned from these teardown photos, the images do give a clearer idea of how they will be constructed. Microsoft has said previously that they have conducted extensive tests on the gamepads in their labs, including pushing the buttons on each controller a total of two million times; The company claims the controllers will last 10 years or more with regular use.

Of course, while these teardown images look legitimate, they could be faked.

Starify Looks like you're going to be able to replace the Xbox symbol on the top of it. That would be really cool if people came up with their own designs.

That'd be a really nice addition, it'd be cool to see what people would come up with as well.

That would be a great addition in my opinion. I would like to see what some of the members on this site can come up with

Also if you look at the Xbox 360 controller then look at this one, it has missing rumble pads that are usually in the handles of the controller and it also is missing the rubber spacers for the dpad and this image implies that the new Xbox One controller has a guide button which it does not actually have.

From what I can see, the bottom half of the circuit board gets placed like an overlay over the top half of the circuit board. If this is true then the pictures are either fake or they left out a few pieces of the controllers hardware. Circuit boards and motherboards cannot be in direct contact with one another, they usually have a form of spacers which tend to be rubber.
