PES 2014 trailer claims 'next-gen equivalent visuals'

4.6
A new gameplay trailer for Konami's PES 2014 claims the Xbox 360 and PS3 game will feature 'next-gen equivalent visual quality'.

The almost seven-minute gameplay video offers a detailed look at the games technical specifications, including graphics, effects, animations, physics and core gameplay improvements.

onami's PR campaign for PES 2014 has focused heavily on the technical aspects of the game, with a recent developer diary video featuring PES creative producer Kei Masuda discussing the nitty-gritty details of the new 'Fluidity' engine powering the game.

An adapted version of Kojima Productions' Fox Engine, Fluidity allows for "the most comprehensive advance for the PES range since its inception", according to the Japanese publisher.

The game is headed to PS3, Xbox 360, PC and PSP later this year.

gregw Too bad it still won't give EA much competition for FIFA.... I don't want to give EA any more money.

EA will always sell more, fifa 13 is still 30 pounds, and still sells many copies, pes doesn't.

it looks okay, but pes were more of a ps2 game, fifa is better on xbox.

No, it wont :/ FIFA grows more everyday, isn't getting smaller at all, this nonsense with FIFA points tho is stupid. It's an addiction to buy packs, it's a drug );

PES has never been a close competitor with FIFA. If given a little bit of time Pro Evolution Soccer may be able to compete with FIFA yet at this point it isn't really possible due to the insane amount of FIFA fans at the moment

I use to play it when 2006 came out, it was very fun, the online was awesome and so was the single player cups, i found them very enjoyable to play. Ultimate Team is very addicting tho, thats why i try to stay away from buying money, EA must be rich by now, and PES being the 2nd prize of football is very disappointing. Having said that PES does live up to expectations, and is a great game to recommend.

One day someone will realize why there playing FIFA and switch to PES, people probably are doing it already. We will just have to see what happens in the future ://

I find PES more interesting than FIFA Myself. I find that FIFA is getting a little repetitive. I am likely to end up getting this game despite not being a big sports fan, it looks pretty cool

At first, next-gen games will seems at par with current-gen, but after the developers get more used to the console the graphics will be phenomenal. Same as most consoles after time, graphics evolve even if the console doesn't....To an extent.
