Battlefield 4 will sell 14M, can “coexist successfully” with CoD

4.5
Battlefield 4 will sell 14 million units, according to Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, but notes that both it and Call of Duty: Ghosts can “coexist successfully” in the market even with both hitting retail within a week of each other.

In the note, Bhatia predicted one-third of all Battlefield 4 sales would come through PC, but that only 10% of Call of Duty: Ghosts sales would be through PC.

Sounds about right.

Bhatia said Grand Theft Auto 5′s release is far enough ahead of both titles which would “limit overlap,” and he feels Skylanders will remain the market leader in the toys-to-life genre – even with Disney Infinity looming.

CallMeeKiller i personaly think Battlefield 4 will win. Every true gamer that loves real life scenarios in a game will choose Battlefield 4.
Nothing is better then wearing your astro 50's (thats what i use) and running in with your squad and just hearing the jets and the helicopyers and the tanks going by with the explosions and gun fire i just love that. i also think alot of other people do too. You cant get that in Cod all you get is people screaming about there kill streak or someone camping. Battlefield just gives it a more better aspect on a fps game. when i play it i feel like im in the war with the sounds and the effects of the game and the best part is you dont see the same thing over and over again like you do in Cod you see so many different random things going on some funny and some just so intense you will just be jaw dropped by it and i would actually choose Battlefield over Cod any day.

Yes I prefer it over CoD any day but BF3 isn't exactly realistic either. Sure it has operable vehicles and larger maps with better graphics but its still not ra real-life scenario.

Sounds like the same thing they said with BF3. MW3 outsold BF3. I don't see anything changing.

That's because of MW2, people wanted to know what was going to happen to Soap, Price and Makarov. Plus some people thought for some reason that Ghost was coming back in MW3. Battlefield 4 is looking way better than COD so I'm really hoping it will do better than COD.

Woobie I know for a fact I will be buying both, I used to be a CoD fanboy back in the day but Battlefield puts out games that are just as good if not better.

True, those graphics and gameplay are awesome! I love sniping on both of them, COD for quickscoping, BF for being stealthy and actually sniping like it should be.

Oh I'm sorry I didn't know "real sniping" involved hit markers.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize that war involved a bunch of 10 year old children dashing around a yacht with sniper rifles and somehow not dislocating their shoulders when firing, don't even start on realism.

i like both but lets be honest, with all the talk that BF is "REALISTIC" you never can kill someone in 1 shot with a sniper unless its on the head.

BF3 is not that realistic. If you want realism go buy arma on the PC. That is the most realistic shooter you can find.

Gossip But COD's still better though

Yeah, if you're one of those noobs who sit around all day trying to quickscope and use OP guns.
At least Battelfield, there is no OP guns.

Well that's a lie.

MicroSonyPC They tried the same thing like 2 years ago with MW3 and BF3, COD won.

I don't see what will be different this time.

highmjw13 They can coexist because they target two different audiences. CoD targets 12 year olds who only care about being a 1337 quickscoper or just sit in a corner with their SMGs trying to get their kill streaks. Battlefield targets players who will actually play the objective and want to win. I'm not trying to troll or be stereotypical in this, I'm being serious. This is what I've experienced in both games. I also find Battlefield a lot less frustrating and more enjoyable to play.

12 year olds are in every FPS game, over exaggerating much? People camp in BF too, don't try to pretend they don't. And just like every other fps game you have people who play the objective, and you have people who just want to get kills.

I find COD to be a lot less frustrating because I can rarely get people to work together in Battlefield unless we all have mics. In COD even if my team is terrible, I can still carry them.

The only time I have seen people camp on BF3 is if they are recon and sniping(Which you're supposed to do, not running around quickscoping) or when they are spawn trapped or trying to push the enemy back on Operation Metro. Other than that people are running around the map and playing the game.

Just like in COD you have some people rushing with smgs, and some camping.
