DualShock 4 Has A Deceptively Large Size, Side-By-Side Comparison

Sony has done a lot of changes to the DualShock 4, in fact a lot of people who got their hands on it have been praising it. There’s a reason for that, the controller was designed in tandem with Sony’s first party studios and the drawbacks of the DualShock 3 have been rectified here.

The controller’s size has been pretty deceptive in the press images, so how big is it exactly? Well it’s almost as big as the Xbox One controller and maybe some people will feel it’s even bigger based on this image below posted by a user on a Chinese site called Weibo (registration required).

As you can see, the controller feels really comfy to hold and is shaping up to be one of the best ones ever made. But that’s for the people to judge.

It was far from "Perfect" but it wasn't horrid what so ever. After using the controller for around 3-4 months i got used to it and ended up liking it to the level of the Xbox 360 controller

I'm glad they upped the size. My hands have always felt cramped on controllers. Guess i won't know until I get my hands on one...literally.

Disorts ok you idiots the controller is not bigger the sticks are longer and wider, ps4 has a grip cover on it where as the xbox one is flat and matte. ps4 controller looks better the xboxs is the same.

Lmfao calm down there buddy, were not talking about its a controller were discussing not you're mother, I'm sorry some likes the Xbox controller better but stfu and simmer down.


In defense of the other guy who watched E3, I actually did go to E3 and felt both controllers based on my curiosities from others saying it was amazing (xbone controller). What I can tell you is that the Xbone controller felt relatively similar to the current 360 version except for the fact that my hand couldn't actually fit around the controller because of the weird middle part. The PS4 controller was nice and felt heavier and bigger than the previous version. I liked it better just because of the open middle part that allows my last digits to wrap around the controller rather than be left with an awkward state of almost holding a square.
