Sonic still unconfirmed for Super Smash Bros 4

Sega and Nintendo have not been talking about Sonic returning in the upcoming Super Smash Bros game for 3DS/Wii U. What seems like an obvious choice to many hasn't been discussed by the two companies yet.

Takashi Iizuka from Sonic's team said this about the hedgehog joining the Super Smash Bros roster as a third party character in the upcoming game.

"All we can say is that we also think it would be awesome if he was in the next Smash Bros. So yea, but that’s more of a question for Nintendo than us."

You would think Nintendo would have already contacted Sega about it. Perhaps they want to focus more on the first party Nintendo characters before working on 3rd party characters. The game is set to be released in 2014 so they still have time to discuss Sonics possible addition to the roster. Either Nintendo is really considering letting Sonic sit this one out or they’re going to wait to confirm his addition to the game.

Come on! You have to put Sonic in there. Sonic and Mario represent Nintendo, at least for me!

Sonic has been in like all the SSB's. I think he will be in SSB4.

Well Sega and Nintendo are "friends" now to some sort of aspect. Since Sega went down with their consoles, they have been more lenient with Nintendo.


Sonic will probably end up in the game


It's pretty likely that Sonic Will be included. I personally hope that he is included in the game

If they can fit a Wii Fit trainer, then they can squeeze Mewtwo back in ;D

imgur I really will only use seamus and pokemon in this either way...


Seamus? Isn't her name Samus? Either way that was the basic line up I used in SSBB with the exception of using Wolf every now and then.
