Current Halo trilogy is now a 'saga'

The Halo series' current Reclaimer Trilogy is now a "saga," a Microsoft representative confirmed with GameSpot during E3.

"While we originally said trilogy, we've actually expanded this to more of a saga, so we don't want to limit the Reclaimer story within a trilogy," the representative explained. The Reclaimer Trilogy was originally set to span from 2012's Halo 4 through the eventual Halo 6.

Xbox head Don Mattrick recently referred to the franchise's E3 showing as "Halo 5." Speaking with GameSpot, Microsoft Game Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer declined to say whether the next Halo game will be a fully fledged sequel or a spinoff in the vein of Halo: Reach.

"It is the next Halo game that we are working on," Spencer told GameSpot. "We will talk more about actually the story arc in the game and how it plays out; we've got more time to talk about that." Whether the next game is Halo 5 or something else, Spencer did note that it will be "a legitimate version of Halo."

YoungRebels i loved halo ever since i got my xbox but its just the same game every time


if it was the same, it would be a lot better than what it is now, if you think its all the same you obviously never played Halo CE or Halo 2

Halo started to go downhill when Reach came out. Halo 4 took itself too seriously, in my opinion it lost the fun Halo had when Bungie were making it.

Played every Halo, don't know what's going on anymore, that's why I bought the anniversary edition to go back to when it made sense.

question? Then why the hell would you show Cortana's chip as a dogtag in John-117's hand? It's a sequel cause a spinoff would not make sense unless it takes place during the Halo 4 story, but that was the chip of Cortana in his hand, damaged and destroyed, clearly showing it's age and the alien that came out of the sand seems to be forerunner technology, by my understanding it's a Promethean of some sort do to it's look and design structure.... that's my idea of the trailer which in the books John does not run into Promethean's until he lands on "Shield World"

Halo4 Even though I thought Reach didn't have the full Potential of other Halo games, I'd like to see another version of it.


I thought Halo Reach was a complete let down. Didn't really like it at all, it would be nice if they remade it though.


I liked the storyline a lot, just didn't really like the feel. I thought they made it too mainstream to get more sales? Way to make yourself remembered Bungie, the company that f*cked up Halo.


You seem to forget the first 3 amazing Halo games that Bungie made.......
