Xbox Live Gold free games pinned for 1st and 16th of each month

Microsoft pinned monthly dates to its Games With Gold promotion, with the Xbox Live Gold freebies due on the 1st of 16th of each month. As revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference, Gold subscribers gain access to two free Xbox 360 games each month until the end of the year. Fable 3 was the first offering, with Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2 already announced as July's dynamic duo.

"As our way of saying thanks for being part of this community, we're giving all qualifying Gold members two free Xbox 360 games each month for the rest of the year." reads the promotion's site. "Each specially selected, fan-favorite game will be available to download only for a limited time, so grab them before they're gone and keep them no matter what."

I believe that this is a good business decision from Microsoft. It's just like Play Station Plus. I'm looking forward to more free games in the future

Then COD and GTA 4 would be added to the list. Personally I don't mind if GTA 4 is added but COD shouldn't be added as a free game.

I think they should add some of the old CoD's, such as CoD 4 or older.


Hmm maybe a COD from COD 1-4 but even then I don't think they should add COD. There are plenty of other games that could use the spotlight ;D

I don't think they would add anything like that. I'm sure they are going to add old games that people hardly play.

Well they are adding HALO 3 next moth and AC2 which I'm sure a lot of people played.


I meant games that people hardly play now. Like Halo 3 was very popular but it isn't that popular now, but once this gets released I'm sure it will once again.

daw Never played Halo so that would be interesting . Fable 3 is boring though .

Fable 3 is a serious disappointment compared to the rest of the franchise, play the first two and you'll understand, it's as linear as Call of Duty in some areas too. The issue with all of these free games is that most people have played them, and if they haven't (Fable 3 for example) the game generally isn't looking that good, if they bring out a fairly new game and make it free then I'll be very impressed.


I always heard Fable 3 was a let down compared to Fable 2, I have never played Fable in my life so I had no clue as to what people were talking about.
