Xbox One controller charge kit and headset details

4.3
With the new console arriving in November, Microsoft have released details on the Play and charge kit, and also the new Microphone that has been established.

The Play and Charge kit includes a rechargeable battery pack, and a USB adapter that plugs into the Xbox One. This lets you charge the controller while playing your game, or when the console is in sleep/standby mode.

The Microphone contains pitch perfect wideband audio, and lets you mute or adjust the volume without having to take your hands off of your controller. There has been no confirmation about the microphone being included with the console yet. It was included with the 1st generation Xbox 360 back when it was released.

I have a feeling I will never even use the Mic that the Xbox One will come with.

You can mute and adjust volume without taking your hands of the controller on ps3. That is a old feature, and on ps3 you can change the tune of your voice. microsoft is trying so hard =

No new news with the controller, I'm interested to see how the headset thing will work though.

Method_Man Alot of people mod on this site if not most. If you get console banned on xbox one. You lose all of your games so they are unplayable

You do not lose all your games. This was a mistake about the Xbox support, and tweeted about it.

BOMB-OMB I still can't believe they're keeping those unnecessary battery packs.

Look at it this way, you could have a built in battery pack that could run out at some point or have replaceable one that can be swapped out with a fresh one instead of having to plug in the cable during long gaming sessions AND over time batteries tend to deteriorate. So in reality it's a better option.

I'm going to go ahead and tell you why you're wrong first of all thats basically what the play and charge is, it's a pack that could run out at any point and you'll have to charge it plus those cables always go bad and then you have to buy another $20 dollar freakin play n charge. My Wii U Pro Controller last 80 hrs. and only takes like 4 to charge plus it charges by a usb cable that never breaks for retarded reasons. They should've just built the battery pack into the controller and put a mini usb port in to charge it but nooo they have to make money off those stupid play n charge kits.
