I defend the price as well, the Xbox One has basically the same hardware as the PS4 yet you get the new kinect as well. Bearing in mind the old one was over 100 GBP so presumably the new one is worth more. However I'd also make the point that not everyone actually want s to kinect. Maybe Microsoft might bring out a version without the Kinect, imagine the price difference without it, could maybe go lower than the PS4. Lets wait and see!

That's what I was thinking as well, if they make another version in the console that doesn't require Kinect(Probably won't but let's keep that hope in mind) it more and likely won't be $499 unless they add something else that they feel needs to be charged extra.

Make it the same as the ps4 price

Ehh not really, he might want to get an Xbox One instead of a PS4 or whatever his reason it. In all honesty I thought the Xbox One and PS4 were going to be around $600.
