New Xbox 360 torn down, shows we're all the same on the inside

4.3
A teardown of the new Xbox 360 announced at Microsoft's E3 press conference by iFixit showed some surprising non-changes to the redesigned system. Namely, the console still uses the storage, cooling fan and processing power from the current version of the system first announced in June 2010.

Among the changes made to the system (referred to as the Xbox 360 E), iFixit noticed that Microsoft updated the RF module and that "the absence of the power button backlight found in the Xbox 360 S is easily noticed." The redesigned console is available now for the same price as the existing models. We got a good look at the system ourselves at E3, albeit from the outside.

I wouldn't think there would be anything different if they were the same price.

It did have a better HDD, more USB slots, a direct Kinect power slot, Wi-Fi availability without the use of a wireless adapter, a more durable RF unit, an internal hardrive, not to mention the more distinct shell. I prefer the look of the newer models, but I'm still using my same original Elite I got years ago :3

actually hate to tell you most do have that much, but the xbox one is not far behind, if you compare it to a computer with an i7 or 8350 and a 690 or something similar maybe then its outdated otherwise its ok, not to mention ps4 gpu is better.

I agree with you bro.

You don't need a water cooler in a 360, it runs cool enough as it is

Yeah right that has to be a joke.

I've never had an over heating problem with my xbox through all these years. You're obviously doing something wrong.

not really, Overheating is nearly the #1 problem with Xbox breakdowns

the only time ive had overheating problems with my 360 which ive had since 06 is it had a few years of dust in the fans i havent herd of overheating problems since the original 360s
You can only over heat a 360 if you play it all day & watch movies all night then repeate that for like a week straight, My 360 Slim only over heated when i left it on for a week, As long as you turn it off over night you should be good

Had my console for 5 years now, no problem what so ever. You're doing something wrong.

Ive had my white 360 since '08 and Ive never had overheating problems, whereas my cousin got a 360S and it overheated after a year.

same here never had one problem but my cousin did

Ive also never had a problem because im not an idiot with my 360.

I have never had my xbox overheat either. I haven't know anyone's overheat also. I have had my xbox on for over three days without shutting it off. I wasn't at home and forgot about it.

Well I had my 3 Xbox 360's for a while and all of them eventually overheated and I only play like once every 2 weeks, so that shows there is a problem with the console
