Xbox One will support Live in these countries at launch

4.5
Xbox One won't offer Live in every country at launch, but it has a concrete lineup of Live-supported countries that includes the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and a handful of European nations. Check out the complete list below (image below from NeoGAF).

Without Xbox Live, games on Xbox One won't work in these regions. "Xbox One games are for activation and distribution only in specified geographic regions," a disclaimer on the Xbox One reservation page says.

The Xbox One requires an internet connection at least once every 24 hours, Microsoft revealed in the days leading up to E3. Without that connection, the Xbox One's ability to play games is locked down.

Well...if they don't get rid of the DMR rules and the online every 24 hours rules, they are going to lose next to all of their custom. I mean, I'm only buying a next gen console for a handful of games

Podcast i would of raged if the UK wasn't on there

Did you really think that the UK would have missed the list. Out of all countries that you can guarantee access, UK and US are the first on the list.

Just saying its Microsoft remember

Aggie They better do something to gain back the people or they will sink on the Xbox one.

The fan base who will just get xbox one just so they can say its better then the PS4 is big enough where microsoft is guranteed not to bomb.

Well that and all the the people that don't read internet articles and watch E3 will probably get it too. Casual gamers. Most of the people I know don't even know much of the differences between consoles but they have had xbox since the original so the will continue to keep xbox. The majority are gamers are casual and don't really pay attention to the news. So yeah I highly doubt MS will sink or even get close to losing money.

-LOST- I hope they get rid of the fact that you need to be online once every 24 hours.

They probably did this to prevent jtags like on the 360

yea the did that probably but i know that we can bypass it within 2 years

True I really don't think it will be that long until someone bypass Xbox ones security, But I really don't think it is worth a buy anymore been an Xbox fan all my life but now no thank you I think I will be getting of to PC

UPPERECHELON1 No Korea, Japan, and china ??? Looks like playing online will be less competitive

I think a lot of people in those countries go for Sony and Nintendo, Microsoft doesn't have much of a market over there so it makes sense why they wouldn't have live for the few people over there.

Not true at all. I've always enjoyed the Xbox over the PlayStation because it is what i'm used to. I'm not getting it so I can say the Xbox One is better, because both consoles will be great gaming machines. I just don't like using a PlayStation because I've been on Xbox so long. I fear some people switching over out of rage might be unimpressed with the controller and software of the PS4 if they have been on Xbox for a while.
