Xbox One will support Live in these countries at launch

4.5
Xbox One won't offer Live in every country at launch, but it has a concrete lineup of Live-supported countries that includes the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and a handful of European nations. Check out the complete list below (image below from NeoGAF).

Without Xbox Live, games on Xbox One won't work in these regions. "Xbox One games are for activation and distribution only in specified geographic regions," a disclaimer on the Xbox One reservation page says.

The Xbox One requires an internet connection at least once every 24 hours, Microsoft revealed in the days leading up to E3. Without that connection, the Xbox One's ability to play games is locked down.

3OH3 And if you don't live in those countries then your new xbox wont work. Been into the xbox for a long time but I think it's time to make the switch. Everything about the xbox was done so poorly you'd think that Micro$oft is doing it on purpose. Goodbye xbox and hello PlayStation

They are doing it on purpose, but it's your perspective of the console that is poor, look at how the always online function can benefit you, so long as the console is connected to the power cable then it is using power, still connected, doing things inside your games in the background, making the game more immerse!

now, i have been with XBOX since day one. the original box Console, but now, this bullshit pisses me off.

they completely **** the console for gaming, its pretty pathetic really. the PS4 is superior for gaming, and i feel like its the better looking console as well. Sony's in it for the money and the people. Microsoft just wants the money

TTG_Wiz4rd Microsoft be like "F*** Africa, they're too poor for our sh*t"
I wonder why not even South Africa? This area has people who could afford an Xbox One =/

I've seen players on the Black Ops 2 globe playing at the south of Africa!

I am shocked at how Japan is not included in the list, it will be a huge place for the PS4 to take a huge following and I would think that Microsoft would want to get in on that action.
