E3 2013: Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD hits Wii U in October

Nintendo announced the HD remaster of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker sets sail for the Wii U this October. Nintendo also detailed that it's altering the original GameCube game's Tingle Tuner functionality with the Game Boy Advance. In the 1080p Wii U remaster it'll be titled Tingle Bottle, and will be compatible with Miiverse. The tingly feature will see Miiverse messages will appear in bottles on the shores of players' games.

TFM Zelda is one of the best Nintendo games ever.


Easily, not even going to lie. Pokemon and Metroid are tied for second best for me. Then the SSB series.


It all depends on the individuals opinion i guess. For me Zelda is on par with the Pokemon Franchise

Not going to deny that at all. I loved this game, it's a shame I sold it when I finished it :/

Seconded. You should really give Wind Waker a try and see if you like it. It is a great entry level Zelda game in my opinion

I played it on the GameCube aswell and it was one of my favourite games!


I spent the most time on that game out of all my GameCube games. Paper Mario TTYD and Super Smash Melee were the second most played games. The only reason I played wind waker more is because I strayed off from the story and kept staying in the water thinking I had to kill the giant squid.

Katsumi Now this is a game that i'm actually looking forward to. I thought the original wind waker was excellent. Hopefully this one lives up to my expectations


It should as long as they keep the controls the same for the most part. Other than that I'm looking forward to this game.


So am I, they won't change the controls. Why would they? :D


They more and likely won't. The only way I see them doing this is if they want to implement a new control system with the flute, the boat and when you glide on the giant leaves(Oh yeah I still remember those xD )
