E3 2013: PS4 online multiplayer requires PS Plus

4.7
Online multiplayer on PS4 will require a PS Plus subscription, confirmed in the above video produced by Sony demonstrating physical disc game sharing on PS4.

Existing PlayStation Plus members – or even those who sign up from here on out – will find their subscription extended to PS Vita, PS3 and PS4. The PS4 launches Holiday 2013 for $399.

Red-Wine PS Plus costs roughly the same amount as Xbox live if not cheaper, gives you a tonne of free games and the PS4 is cheaper itself by over 100 pounds. I think PS4 is still winning it for me, backwards compatible as well.

Both the consoles don't have backwards compatibility. I don't know where you got that from.

It's not backwards compatible disc wise but with the new Gaikai service coming next year you will be able to re-download PS3/PS2/PS1 titles.

KarmaRambo This is a big step for Sony in my opinion.

This has always been something Sony had over Microsoft, and now that this is gone, the Sony fanboys will need to find a new thing to celebrate. The always-online and DRM issues won't last for that long, Microsoft will probably prepare an announcement to change things.

PS4 has better technical specs. And have fun being stalked by a ubiquitous kinect.

And here we can observe a Sony fanboy in his natural habitat.

The specs really don't mean anything in this day and age, each system will have it's weak points, did you even watch the Sony press conference yesterday? Bungie's new game, Destiny, began to freeze up on the PS4, you can't really talk about specs until you've played the systems, bro.

Also, please do your research, Microsoft have already said you can turn Kinect 2.0 off, you have a switch on your wall, flick it, and the Xbox is no longer in standby.

The games will freeze and lag because they are not completely finished, I can talk about specs before I play it btw. I know that a Ferrari is faster than a Ford Focus, but I haven't ever drove a Ferrari though.

That's a completely different thing, lots of other people have driven Ferrari's whereas not many people have played PS4

Lets just be honest, PS4 will be the better console, and if your saying here is another sony fanboy, your wrong, i've always hated on sony, always owned a xbox, even bought a jtag etc, but the xboxone looks sh*t. PS4 will be the better console.

1. it's the same price
2. You get 1 free game a month (most likely indie)
3. 100 dollars, that's a big difference to pounds.

You can visually see a Ferrari is a much, much better car than a Ford Focus, these two systems are neck and neck in terms of quality and performance, don't bother comparing them to such a ridiculous situation.

I see where you coming from, till I see something that really catches my eye with the new xbox I will be sticking with the PS4

I can't believe Sony have done this. I won't be getting a PS4 anyway.
