Lionhead launches new Fable forums ahead of E3

Lionhead has launched new Fable forums, just one week before parent company Microsoft is due to reveal a number of exclusive Xbox One games at its E3 conference on June 10.

"Join fans from across the globe to discuss all things Fable; from the latest news & announcements to guides, walkthroughs and fan content," reads a Lionhead blog post.

"What's more, to celebrate the launch of the Fable forums we'll be rewarding everyone who registers within the first two weeks of launch with an exclusive forum medal that will distinguish you as a founding member of our forums."

Last October, following the completion of Kinect game Fable: The Journey, Microsoft issued redundancies to "less than ten per cent" of staff at Lionhead. In its official statement, the platform holder confirmed that production on the studio's next projects had begun.

In May 2012, a LinkedIn profile hinted that the studio may be working on an RPG with MMO elements for Xbox One.

And last month, Lionhead job ads revealed the studio is seeking new recruits experienced in original IP or "reimaginings of existing franchises".

In April 2013, Microsoft appointed ex-Cryptic Studios and Gazillion Entertainment CEO John Needham as boss of Lionhead Studios.

After the recent Xbox One reveal event was largely used to show off the hardware and its wider entertainment capabilities, Xbox executives have said Microsoft's E3 conference on June 10 will be "all about the games".
