Rumor: Xbox One to feature Skype remote play

4.6
Rumor has it that Microsoft's Xbox One console will feature remote play through Skype, allowing someone to remotely take over gameplay on the local console directly from a Skype call. Either player may break the remote play session at any time.

Supposedly the feature is in testing phase right now, though Polygon's source notes that certain details are still up in the air – like how long that individual can remotely play or whether they need to own the same game or not. During the Xbox reveal event, Microsoft unveiled group Skype calls using the Xbox One's improved Kinect sensor.

This would be very cool, then if someone was stuck on a certain part of a level then you could help them get past it, I think because you can break session at any time that it will be quite safe.

ME0W This sounds cool, but I imaging it would be laggy.

Not really if you have really good connection or if you have a Ethernet cord hook up

It will be pretty cool to have Skype integrated into the new Xbox.

Woof there isnt gonna be party chat thats why microsoft bought skype :P

how do you know that is true ?

Well whats the point in adding skype call and skype add-ons to then add a party chat system? Stupid really

Because skype is for more than xbox, it is used on phones, computers and other stuff, not just xbox, also party's are more reliable than a skype chat, they are quite laggy.

im sure skype dont have any delay in talk :P

They do, unless they have improved skype majorly, it is very laggy when in calls, especially if a big call. Also if they are using skype instead of other voice chats, what happens to game chat? pretty stupid if they did implement this.

There has to be an update for skype to have it on xbox anyway :P and plus its free live so i would hope they have skype as xbox chat
would be amazing :P

I Would rather they stick with the original xbox party's.
