Xbox Live video, music purchases will transfer to Xbox One

4.6
Video and music purchased through the Xbox Live Marketplace will transfer to the Xbox One for storage and playback, Microsoft corporate vice president Phil Harrison confirmed to Polygon.

Harrison noted the cross-platform media compatibility when asked about the Xbox One's reported inability to play Xbox 360 discs and downloaded games. "Actually, to be clear music, movies, television will [transfer]," Harrison said. "All that comes across. Anything that you've acquired from Xbox Video or Xbox Music will move across."

Currently, Xbox Live Marketplace movie, television, and music purchases are playable across an individual user's Xbox 360, PC, and tablet and smartphone devices.

TopNotchKiNG All these idiots complaining about it not supporting Xbox 360 Games, a bunch of retarded people! The Xbox One cannot physically run an Xbox 360 game! The Xbox 360 was built off of PowerPC architecture while the Xbox One is built off of native x76 architecture! It's not a program were talking about guys, you can't change the source code of an Xbox 360 game and make it compatible with the Xbox One. Everything for the Xbox 360 was made specifically for the Xbox 360 Not the Xbox One! #DealWithIt

its called a port you idiot, any game can be ported.

That's cool, but I don't own any music or videos on the 360

ITG but not games? -.- so stupid

Lmao agreed all they want is money so they switch pointless BS but not needed stuff.

Who the hell cares? We want games, not music and videos. I understand 8 years from now nobody will be playing B02, but for now it is still a very popular game. Also the community is much bigger than it was during the xbox to 360 switch

Wow what about my games/add-ons? This is just one of the many reasons for switching to PS4

This is kind of stupid, so the only things that will transfer over is the actual accounts and the music on them. No intercompatebility on controllers, games or anything like that.

I haven't purchased much videos or music on the marketplace so I don't really care about this.
