The Silent Cartographer isn't just one of the best Halo levels of all-time, but it is certainly up there for one of the best first-person shooter levels ever designed. The beachfront assault on Halo is an absolutely memorable mission from start to finish, featuring stunning vistas, tight combat sequences, vehicles and some of the best music this side of gaming has ever produced.

Simply put, it's a masterpiece — one that every gamer should experience at least once in order to better understand its influence and importance.

That said, for as iconic a mission as The SIlent Cartographer is, it's a fairly routine level from a combat standpoint. Of course, if you happen to be playing on Legendary, then, absolutely you'll have a tough time. But what about being completely blindfolded?

Well, that's the challenge one streamer sought to see for themselves, and after many trials and errors, they were able to complete the mission without any peeking.

The Blind Cartographer
Content creator, Kelly Madden AKA KMaddify, has been challenging themselves with completing various Halo segments without the use of their eyes. Dawning an all-black mask that covers everything but their nose and mouth, they were able to complete The Silent Cartographer after three days of attempts.

According to the streamer, it's the first ever completion of the iconic level completely blindfolded. It only took them three hours, but they were able to do it, as evidenced by this Twitch clip.

Mighty impressive, isn't it? It also isn't the first level they've tried blindfolded, as they were able to beat Pillar of Autumn, which is the first Halo level, earlier this year.

Last night I beat Pillar of Autumn on Halo 1 completely blindfolded without any assistance at all.

To my understanding I'm the first person to have a full seamless recording of this being done.

And they're not done yet, either. Earlier on Friday, they hopped back on stream to review the footage and see where time can be shaved off. There's hope to shave off at least two hours, which would be equally impressive. Streamers like KMaddify never fail to impress with their feats. Hopefully, they can realize their goal of a full Halo: Combat Evolved blindfold run.
