GTA V listed for PC on retail sites

4.8
A PC version of Grand Theft Auto V has been spotted in retailer listings in Germany.

The German arm of Amazon and retailer Games Only both have listings for a Games for Windows Live version of Rockstar's much-anticipated sequel (via Gematsu).
The game has only officially been confirmed for Xbox 360 and PS3.

No release date is offered, but the listings suggest that Rockstar may stick with its historical trend of releasing a PC version of its GTA games in the several months following a console debut.

GTA IV was released on consoles in April 2008, followed by a PC version in December that same year.

Likewise, GTA III hit PS2 in October 2001, and later arrived on PC in May 2002 - a pattern which remained consistent for the follow-up releases of GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas.

The Games Only listing titles the game as an 'Uncut Edition' which it claimed would include bonus items before details of said items were removed, according to reports. Prior to the alleged edits, the listing apparently detailed items such as an art book, world map, new stunt plane challenges, bonus outfits, exclusive weapons and more.

-Legion i dont think theres point releasing it on PC....everyone will just try download it.

Have you seen how many PHYSICAL copies of GTA4 have been sold on the PC (does not include Walmart one of the biggest US retailers), about 400k, this does not include STEAM or any other DIGITAL PRODUCER, which would have sold a boat load more. Another thing to mention is how many people were on steam at peak time yesterday, there were nearly 6 million. GTA4 was 24th in the most played and peaked at 4,901 players and it was in the top 10 yet again in 2011. there is also 55+ million steam accounts and steam is a big contributor to how many games are sold on PC. Also 2 years after it's initial release and the PC has an infinite lifetime shelf.

i would read your comment but its too long. im just too lazy to read a bloody paragraph lol

Norgaard Wouldn't there be too much modding on PC?

That's one of the best things about GTA for PC...

iidoubledrop I think they will probably delay the pc version for a year or so, so people don't get a cracked version strait away.

And that would help the legit consumer how? The pirates will just wait anyway.
