Xbox Live sign-in issues ongoing, Microsoft working on it

Xbox Live is currently experiencing a significant service disruption, with many users reporting problems when trying to sign in to Microsoft's online gaming platform. The outage — which inconveniently comes during peak weekend gaming hours — has subsequently rendered a large part of the console's functionality useless for the time being. Many of the most popular apps on Xbox 360 (including Netflix, HBO Go, Hulu, and YouTube) are tied to Xbox Live Gold subscriptions; if you're unable to sign in, you won't be able to access any content. Microsoft has confirmed the ongoing issue on its Xbox support website, pledging that "every available resource" is currently working to get players back online. In the meantime, the company is providing status updates every 30 minutes.
Update: Limited connectivity appears to have returned, although Microsoft warns that users may still encounter errors while managing their friends lists and/or while attempting to send text or voice messages over Xbox Live.
Having problems playing black ops 2 my friends and I restarted are xboxs and it makes you appear offline and you can't change it, party's keep on disconnecting aswell
It's been back up since 12am last night for me. (In the UK)
Has been fine since, if anyone's still got issues with it then you're probably in a different country, or you're lying.
Im on XBL, very laggy and cant invite people to games, party's, chats or send messages - so basically it might aswell be completely off unless your a loner
I could get on around 12pm last night (UK) but I went offline at 3am and haven't tried again today. Pity that it had to be this weekend though since it is Double XP and Nuketown 24/7 on Black ops 2 :(
