Next gen Xbox will have Blu-Ray!

Earlier today, a Microsoft Durango Development Kit popped up on the internet. Included with the leak were 5 images of the "Microsoft Durango XDK Documentation Setup" which shed light on previously unknown parts of the console's hardware and functionality.  

What we find to be the most significant aspect of the leaked documentation can be seen in the image below. It says: "Durango consoles will have a Blu-Ray Disc drive. Disc media will be used for distribution, but during gameplay, games will not use content from the optical disc." What do you think of this?

actually very smart, the blu ray holds much more data, but reads slower. so using them to distribute the game and require to install them will save discs but still keep the high speed loading.also installing every game isn't that big a deal as most people already install their games to keep from scratching. also that doesn't necessarily mean used games would be gone to the people who buy used games, it would mean you would have to spend like maybe another 5$ for a key, if they even chose to require the keys(which i would think they would)

hope they have it in ps4.


I think it's a garuntee for the PS4. I highly doubt they would go backwards and use a normal drive. It's like selling a console with a 100GB hard drive at the start, then bringing out a new model with 20GB hard drive.
