Next gen Xbox disk installation required

4.2
Earlier today, a few images of the "Microsoft Durango XDK Documentation Setup" leaked on the internet. This document is for licensed game developers only, and it reveals tons of unannounced information regarding the next-gen Xbox to the public. Much more has been added to the documentation since the last time it was leaked.

What really threw us off was the following:
"All games will be installed on the hard drive. Play from optical disc will not be supported."

What do you think? We'd say this is proof that they will include, at least, a 320GB hard drive in the base console at launch.

We also noticed that upon installation of the documentation, all of the tools and plugins needed for developers to create games are installed to Visual Studio 2012. Older versions of Visual Studio seem to have been abandoned.

willywhacker21 does this mean you cant get used games?

yea they are stopping used games so their is a chance to make more money but places like gamestop, gamefly and such will lose the money they make from selling used games.

They could still do it.

If this is true which it could be because of speculations of having to have an internet connection to use any of the content on Xbox.
Games and everything else will be purchased from the marketplace threw virtual transactions only and downloaded directly to the HDD and then given a code to redeem to access the game. Reason for the key to redeem is that recovering someone else's account you'd be able to have all their games! Just my speculation. :)

It says, "Durango consoles will have a Blu-ray Disc drive. Disc media will be used for distribution but during gameplay, games will not use content from the optical drive." Not sure what that means, probably some sort of solution if you actually need to recover your account for a legitimate reason.

I'm sure you will still need the disk. Or disks will be a one time use and then throw out thing.
